Welcome to

Oregon Pathfinders!

The Pathfinder program is a Christian Organization for young people working together with adult staff to make things better in their world. This program has an emphasis on the mental, physical and spiritual development of our youth. Today, there are more than one and a half million Pathfinders worldwide.

We are, without a doubt, smack in the middle of the information age. Since you are making the time and have the interest, we welcome you to surf through the web page of
Pathfinder Ministries for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America. We are delighted with your interest in this ministry, and hope that you will be able to easily access what you are looking for.

If you are not yet a Pathfinder, join. If you are already a Pathfinder, stay. If you are a Pathfinder staff, parent or pastor, thank you for all you do to make this ministry viable and relevant.

At a Pathfinder Club meeting, young people learn skills that help them to become leaders within their communities, schools and churches. Skills in household arts, crafts & hobbies, health science, nature, outreach, recreation and vocation are taught.

Youth learn to share and care about others as they become involved in community service projects and go on short-term mission trips. There are many different areas, in which a youth has opportunity to serve, such as: dental, medical, optical, building projects, cleaning up a community or helping with Vacation Bible Schools.

Though Pathfinders is an organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, one need not be a church member to become a Pathfinder. Youth can feel proud of belonging to a group that encourages and helps them to be the most caring people they can possibly become.

Her Name was Margott

My mother taught me unforgettable lessons. Through her, I learned to admire women as great human beings. As a child, she endured long absences from her father. Being the eldest sibling to her brothers, she had to face harsh...

Teenage Brains

Scientists are continually gaining new insights into the remarkable changes in teenager's brains that may help to explain why the teen years are so hard on young people and on their parents. From ages 11-14 a young person...

Power and Siblings

I was the boss. I was bigger and louder than my little brother. He was lucky to get a word in edgewise and didn't get many chances to pick what game we'd play or the role he'd have in our make-believe stories.
